TileTales is a unique site for distinctive, hand-painted
ceramic artwork using a variety of ceramic canvas. Each individual piece of glazework, with its own unique artistry,
is handcrafted by Char Reynolds in her studio. An eclectic mix of decorative motifs contributes to each design, whether the subject matter is animals and pets, or even dragons. Char’s special love for dogs is expressed in whimsical & lighthearted canine designs. The cats have their own page, too! You'll find styles from traditional to contemporary, whimsical to magical, with a few
that even have the look of stained glass. Char’s
canvas ranges from framed tile paintings created on multiple tiles to decorative plates, bowls, trivets and coasters.
A particular specialty is personalized pet dishes, such as the one to the right for Zelda, a small dog with a big attitude. Be sure to check out our

Due to painting and firing times, some pieces shown may
not be immediately available. Pieces not currently in stock take 2-3 weeks to finish and ship. Shipping is via
U.S. postal Priority mail. Shipping charges are included on all orders. Payment for orders is
made through Paypal. Major credit cards are accepted through the secure Paypal shopping cart. Please email Char

About the Work Framed
tile paintings and quote tiles are ready to hang; unframed tiles and coasters are finished with a heavy felt
backing. Plates, platters and single tiles can be displayed using standard hangers or plate racks. All
designs are permanent, they will never scratch or wear. Colors are waterproof, heatproof and will not fade with time
or use. The finish cannot be marred or removed. Any type of non-abrasive cleanser can be used as needed. All
glazes are food-safe, non-toxic, and dishwasher safe. Glazes are by Mayco , and Char uses Kala brushes. Framed tile
paintings are securely grouted and sealed in the frame. All pieces are kiln fired to cone 06 for lasting beauty.
